Question about CALS

They ask you to pick a major out of 23 possiblities, and they give you the option of a second major.

Scenario #1) You select biology as a major and you get accepted to CALS. can you still double major with AEM without any problems?..since it is all within CALS..

Scenario #2) You select biology as first major and AEM as second option. you get accepted, but will they say you do not qualify for AEM, so you can not take any AEM courses?

you can't select a second option this yr...it's an alternative school or just one major in CALS

No, its an alternative major in the same school your applying to. This year you can only apply to one school, but with the option of applying to 2 majors within that school.

oh sorry i thought he was talking about Transfer Students.

so technically if u get accepted to CALS you can just major in AEM then right?

no you can opt to double major but you have to be accepted by that major.

Like if you applied to the biological sciences major and are accepted and wanted to double major in AEM or even internally transfer you would have to take the pre reqs and than apply to that major.

also, AEM is more difficult to get into b/c so many people want to transfer in
