Hey everyone,

So I'm coming to Cincinnati this summer to do a SURF at the CCHMC. I'm out of state so I'm worried about a lot of things.

I called the summer housing people and they said they'd probably put me in CRC Residence Hall. I'm definitely going on a summer meal plan, which is only open at MarketPointe Dining Center...so I looked at a campus map, but can't really tell much from it. How long is the walking time between CRC and MarketPointe Dining?

Also, since I need to get to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, how would I do that? Is there a shuttle service or something? Are the stations nearby CRC?

Thanks!

Edit:

Sorry! one more question. I'm probably taking the MCAT at the ETS at University Pavilion...so how long is a walk for that from CRC?

I'm asking all these questions cause my college campus is very small...you could walk around it in 30 minutes (the perimeter)...and I feel UC is extremely large isn't it?

The Rec center is pretty much close to everything. MarketPointe is like a 5 minute walk from there, and the University Pavillion is about the same distance. The campus map doesn’t help very well at all with anything, but it’s quite easy to find your way around campus and people are always friendly and very helpful if you need directions or get lost. I’m attending this fall as a freshman and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve visited there, at 1st it is a little scary because you don’t know where anything is but you quickly learn your way around. The food plan might only cover MarketPointe but there’s also a lot of great and cheap places to eat all around campus and just off campus, so if you don’t feel like eating on the meal plan for a day you’ve got nothing to worry about. As for CCH I’ve been there only a few times when I was way younger but I’m sure if you’re in a program that requires you to go there there’s a shuttle to it. There’s a shuttle to everywhere I’m not joking. I’ll be majoring in dietetics and clinical nutrition in the fall, which will require me to go to East Campus where the UC Hospital is and there’s a shuttle to there. If you need info on anything else I could probably answer it too lol. I hope this helped you out.
