Can someone tell me what constitutes as a reach, low match, match, safety, high match, and any other chances that I left out?

High reach - ivies and similar (even kids with stellar stats get rejected)

Reach - a school where your stats fit in the mid 50s range or top 25%, but they still might reject you.

High match - a school where your stats fit in the mid 50%, but they still might reject you.

Match - a school where your stats your stats are in the top 25% - 50%

Safety - a school where your stats guarantee admittance (these are typically “formula schools” - as long as you have the minimum college prep courses, the GPA, and the test scores, you’re in).

Financial safety - same as above PLUS you have funding to pay - from: out of pocket, thru aid, thru scholarships, or a combo (no loans or very small loans).

What does a low match mean?

I’ve never heard that term…I’ve only heard “high-match” or “reachy match”

I guess a “low match” would be a school that is almost a safety, but you’re still not certain of admittance.
