<p>I had a friend that went to a public high school, last heard from him briefly when he was a senior (fall) then we lost touch. I saw in a sports article about athletes leaving the school that year and it said he was going to Choate. Isn't that for just high school? Can you go for just 1 year or repeat your senior year if you graduated. He was doing well, so he didn't fail anything. Just curious...maybe he'll go on facebook or something and I'll hook up again.</p>

<p>Okay, I didn't see that on their site when looking for post-grad programs, just a summer program. That would make sense, maybe thought he'd get a better chance at certain schools.</p>

<p>Yes, PGs are post - graduations who can take a year to study before going off to college. They are sometimes (usually) recruited for sports to boost the varsity teams or because they have a special asset to add to the school community.</p>
