Question about College Choice in NMS Application

<p>My daughter was recently informed that she is a NMSF. If I understand correctly you can compete for only one of the three type of merit scholarship. Since neither I nor my husband works for any of the corporate sponsors that leave her only two types of scholarship. </p>

<p>Here is my question. If she is not interested in any of the colleges that sponsor the scholarship does she still have to fill out the college of her first choice in the application form? If she changes her mind later when is the latest date can she notify national merit scholarship board about her college choice?</p>

<p>Congratulations to your daughter’s accomplishment. At this stage, she shall put “undecided” in her college choice. You have until next April or even later to put in your choice. I suggest she put down at that time the school that she plans to enroll. On a side note, I suggest you and your daughter shall carefully consider the many offers that come her way as a NMF. There might be some good ones that you might not have thought of.</p>
