After dropping off daughter to begin her first year, I was putting the 'required' decal on the car, and took a close look at the college seal. Along the bottom are a set of roman numerals that translates to "PS.144:12)

Does this refer to Psalm 144? The line refers to sons and daughters.

The version of Psalm 144 verse 12 in that article refers only to daughters.

I looked at my old1945 printing of the Hebrew Bilble, which has the entire verse as:
“We whose sons are as plants grown up in their youth;
Whose daughters are as cornerstones carved after the fashion of a palace”

Thanks so much!! In my translation of Ps. 144 verse 12, the first part of the verse talks about sons, and the second part mentions daughters. I guess Mary Lyon took what she could use and edited out the rest.
