Question about curriculum

mwc, of course there is a strong emphasis on marine (hence the name). However, i know plenty of people who have gone into fileds that don't have anything relating to the word "marine." I know a guy who know works in marketing, so there are other options.

Let's not forget the military option. If your choice is to serve your country that is another choice out of KP. You can take a commssion in any of the service branches, including NOAA.

Also I'm sure that every college and university in the country has a "disgruntledAlumn" so I would not put too much weight on his/her opinions.

I know there are a lot of people who are disgruntled for a WHOLE lot less money annually.

But, do what you LOVE/have a passion for. NO amount of money will make you satisfied doing something you dislike .. although typically your surroundings can be made a bit more accommodating.

the disgruntled guy has a point,
of course people will gloss over the tough/ not so pretty parts to bring people in, but every school does that. i mean would anyone go to a school if its brochure just showed all the crappy parts? no.
it's hard, but you learn a lot and make some great (and often times hilarious) memories. do what you want to do, don't let other people convince you otherwise. if you want it, get it. if you don't, that's ok too
it takes all kinds to make the world go round.
