I have a hypothetical question about deferring admission.
Say a candidate accepted an offer of admission from College A, and then decided to defer admission by a year. In that year, could he apply to Colleges B, C and D? Or would that violate any rules/policies?

<p>Depends on the policy of the specific school. Most schools won’t let you file applications during a gap year where you’ve deferred admission; they don’t want students to hold onto their acceptance while essentially shopping around for other offers. But I would definitely check with College A as they may have a unique rule/policy on deferrals.</p>
