<p>Does the FAFSA have a processing time of a few days to get to the University?
If so, would I have to fill out the FAFSA today in order for it to get to UM on "time"?</p>
<p>Or is it that processing times don't matter if you have submitted the FAFSA by February 1st?</p>

<p>It’s not a hard deadline, it’s a preferred priority filing date, so basically by or around that date and you’re fine. Just always do the FAFSA as soon as possible, regardless of the deadline.</p>
<p>Does everyone have to fill out the FAFSA? or only if you think that you will qualify for financial aid?</p>
<p>It’s highly recommended, in almost all levels of financial standing. But not required.</p>
