Am I potentially screwed?

<p>Ok, So I sent in my FAFSA on 2/7, a good week + a day b/f maryland's deadline. However, my rents didnt havea PIN, therefore sent the signature page. Now, I checked abotu 10 mins ago, and it says that the FASFA is still processing and the signature form has not been recieved!</p>

<p>So my question to you guys is this:</p>

<p>Maryland says this (and I quote from their website):</p>

<p>"To be considered for need-based financial aid, a student must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. For priority consideration, the Federal processor must receive your FAFSA by February 15th."</p>

<p>What does that mean?</p>

<p>Do I have to submit the FAFSA by the 15th? or have it all complete and processed by the 15th? I really need to know!</p>

<p>Something similar happened to me because Miami's deadline was the 1st and i was sending out my fafsa on the 31st. But I called and they said as long as you submit your fafsa by the deadline, the signature can come later. So I would assume the same for other schools especially UMD, but you might want to call for assurance.</p>
