Question about ECs/Competitions

I have a feeling I might have screwed things up a bit...

I'm shooting for a Chem/Physics or Engineering Major at an HYPMS school, possibly a double major in business, econ, or policy, depending where I end up. I'm too conflicted to come up with a definite major, but that's not the point.

I've already done some scientific research through a program at the med school of a certain Ivy League uni, but I made the mistake of only submitting my paper to one of the three science fairs in the area. Granted, the fair I did submit to was a state-level symposium that feeds directly to a national conference, so I'm not too badly off there, but still... I'm planning to submit the research to Intel STS and Siemens as well once those apps come online in April/May, but I was wondering:

Will the fact that I did research but competed in only a limited number of competitions look suspect?

Should I include a copy of my research with my supplementary materials when I do apply for college? (I'm probably going to ask the prof for whom I worked to write a rec letter, too, so I was thinking that this might be a nice complement.)

Sorry for the freakishly long and rant-y post--advice would be appreciated.

Haha, thanks. It’s raining outside, though, so I must away to my books. Also, it’s cold. I’d rather drink tea instead.

Also, I’m a freak that thrives on stress. And I’m Asian. (That’s not an excuse, is it?)

I wish that these posts had “like” buttons… haha.
