Are college intramural sports considered good quality extracurricular activities when transferring?

:O 13 Views and still no comment? Anyone? :/

If you have a leadership position (team captain), or if you’ve won some sort of award from a championship, yes. Otherwise, I don’t think it will add much to your application.

Thanks for answering

not to be harsh but intramural sports??? thats voluntarily being on a team… anyone can join… and it might show your not socially weird… that your well rounded… but everyone plays intramural sports… i dont think thats really considered an ec…

I see. I just thought colleges like to see that the student is active within the school by showing that they are participating in their current school with clubs, intramural sports etc. Thanks for the input though. By the way I’m curious…What are intramural sports considered if it isn’t an EC?

an intramural sport is something u do for enjoyment… like pick up bballl … its not really serious… any ways ecs only really matter for top tier schools… state schools and such just want gpa… not bad or good they just look at diff things… and its still great that your in the sport… just if ur applying to top tier schools dont expect that to do anything… .get involved in other ecs… colleges have so much stuff going on

Alright, thanks
