Question about entering currently enrolled courses

This is going to likely sound like a easy to answer question, but I'm just making sure I'm doing everything properly.

Should I enter everything exactly as it appears on my school schedule? because all my AP classes (3) are seperated into individual semesters, and I'm not sure if its done like this elsewhere.

Basically, should I enter my AP classes as one course and year long, or should I make them into individual semesters exactly the way they are on my schedule? (I'm confused because the first half of my AP courses count as a 5.0 GPA if A is made and the second half counts as a 6.0, and I don't know if its based off GPA earns or the course itself)

Also, just so I don't have to make another thread, if anyone cares to answer this be my guest: If my school gives a 4.0 for As in non-honors/AP classes, a 5.0 for As in honor classes, and a 6.0 for As in AP classes, is my GPA on a 4.0 scale or a 6.0 scale in the grades section of the common app?

These may seem like stupid questions, but again, I just want to make sure I do everything properly.

Thanks for help!

If a class spreads into both semester, choose year long.

I was hoping for a little more clarification-my class DOES spread into both semesters, but my school schedule has different names for the first and second half of the class. Does that previous statement still stand? Thanks!

If it got different names (even I vs II), you should consider them as semester courses then.

Lets say I have AP biology. The first semester for that class is called Advanced Biology, and the second half AP biology. However they are both part of the AP course.

The important thing is, it needs to match your final school report. You don’t want to cause any confusion at the end.

Regarding your GPA scale Q, our school grades regular courses out of 5.0 and honors and AP out of 6.0. Because not all courses are offered as honors or AP, it is not possible to get a 6.0. Our guidance department calls this a “5.0 weighted” or “5.0+” GPA scale. Hope this helps. Good luck!
