<p>Hi guys, I have received ucsd's admission, but when I turn in my fafsa; the school choice, I choose university of san diego by accidently, not university of California, san diego. Until today I find the mistake. and I make the correction to my fafsa just few minutes a go. But I am so concerned about my cal grants. Do I still have a chance to get cal grants from UCSD? Is that too late, and one more thing, I am a new immigrant, so I dont have california high school diploma. Does it influence my cal grant too?</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure UCSD will have your FAFSA information by the time they offer your awards now that you’ve updated your FAFSA with UCSD. I would call UCSD’s financial aid to make sure they received your FAFSA information.</p>
<p>Cal Grants don’t come from UCSD; they go to UCSD. To qualify for a Cal Grant you would have had to submit your FAFSA and GPA verification (some CCC do this automatically when they receive your FAFSA) by March 2nd of this year. If you receive a Cal Grant, you will have to choose an institution for the grant to go to when you receive the award (May-June).
