hey guys, new to the ND forum. I'm a senior in HS interested in studying business, and i havent really considered ND until now. I go to a competitive HS in Columbus, OH and have been looking at Indiana University but recently found out that my family has close connections to ND. My grandpa knows 3 professors and an uncle has been very active in a few clubs. I never considered it a possibility but am now thinking it could be. My question is, I'm a little hesistant due to my preconceived notion about campus life there. I'm not a party animal or anything, but I would like to party somewhat regularly and have a good college experience. Also, the fact that I am not Christian is another concern. Would this make ND a bad fit for me?

I'm a junior at ND and I'd say I party pretty regularly. :) It's finals now, but during a normal week, I usually go out 1-3 times. And that's as a biochem major. As a business major you could do more than that if you wanted... There are definitely people who party way more than I do and some who never go out, it's really up to you. The nice thing about ND is that the social scene isn't all parties either- there are a ton of sports events, plays, movies, concerts, etc. that people actually go to. Also, as far as campus Catholicism goes, its there if you seek it, but not forced on you if you don't. The two biggest groups on campus are probably Catholics and agnostics (most who are lapsed Catholics). If you HATE Christians, then yeah, you should probably stay away, but if you simply don't want to be one yourself, you'll be just fine. Lastly, Notre Dame has a very highly regarded undergraduate business program.
