Question about freshman schedule

does anyone have schedules from state universities?

i do

First semester
Math 140
Gen chem 1
Gen chem 1 lab
English 15(freshman composition)/English 30(honors)
Gen Ed
Gen Ed
ENGR FYS(First Year Seminar)

Second semester
Math 141
Gen chem 2
Gen chem 2 lab
ED&G 100(Engr. design and graphics)
Phys 211L(lecture)
Phys 211P(lab)
Econ 2/4/14

The freshman schedule can be quite different depending on which engr. major one's pursuing. This is the schedule for chemical engineers.Cmpsc is taken usually in the third semester by engr. majors(ie. if its required). Its not even required for chem engr.'s.

My first year of a Mech/Aero degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville:

Fall:
MA 172-Cal B
MAE 100-Intro to Mechanical and Aero Engr. (with a lab)
CPE 112-Intro to Comp Prog for Engrs(with a lab)
EH 105-Honors English
FL 101R-Intro to Russian (I'm a Russian minor)

Spring:
MA 201-Cal C
MAE 110-Intro to CAD
FL 102R-Second Semester of Russian
PH 111-Physics 1
PH 114-Physics 1 Lab

I had already recieved AP credit for CH 121/125-Chem 1, CH 123/126-Chem 2, MA 171-Cal A, and EH 101-Freshman Comp.

Finally I am done with 2nd semester of calc and chem. Got a B cuase I aced the final, everyweek I had a chem test I had a million other things bringing my grade down. Got a B+ in calc, should have got an A- except our teacher put way too much emphasis on quizes which were horrible since our teacher sucks (probably should have studied more for them). None the less each class is very doable if you study. Series did seem pointless. One thing I can not stand about calc is that we are not really told how it will help us, its just a bunch of formulas or rules.

Looking at rocket's schedule, "HUM 002 Building Community" makes me laugh.

Don't you hate those required BS classes? At CMU we have one on checking your e-mail....

Cmugal, I remember hearing about that course when I went to visit...was it really as boring as they made it sound?

oh, i'm sorry people. the overall class is not "building community". that was the specific name of my humanities/social science class that i was taking. it really is just "humanities/SS II" .

sorry about the confusion.... and it was a REALLY cool class. probably one of the most interesting and intriguing classes that i have ever taken.

Typical HMC Frosh Courseload for Engineers: (take II)

CSCI005 Struct Progrmmng Problem Solving
PHYS023 Spec Relativity/Quantum Mechanic

SPRING

ENGR004 Introduction to Engineering Dsgn
HUM 002 Hum/SS
PHYS024 Mechanics & Wave Motion
PHYS028 Physics Laboratory
CHEM022 General Chemistry
CHEM026 Chemistry Laboratory
