Hey guys, here is my schedule for my 1st year at WPI. How do you guys think?
Cal 4
Chem 1
Physics 1030(physics 3)
German 1

cal 4 as in differential equations?

Some schools spread calculus into 4 courses, not including diffl equations. At my school, engineering students take calc 1-3 and math/physics students take calc 1-4. The only difference is that the engineering stream is obviously faster paced since it's condensed into 3 courses and math/physics students study some concepts much more in depth. I think that math/physics students spend a lot more time on proofs and whatnot.

looks like a pretty good schedule to me, although not for me haha

is that 15? id say put one more class but people tend to disagree with me. How does it take 4 semesters of calc to get to differential equations?

This is for the A term? I think you shouldn't rush your freshman year like this.

This is my schedule for 1st Semester(2 terms):
Great Problem Seminars(2 terms)
Cal III,IV
Chem 1,2

I'm a international student, so I take it easy for the 1st semester.

Sorry, guys. But I just had to change my schedule totally since WPI does not let me overload in my 1st semester(6 courses are maximum for my 1st semester). Here is my updated schedule for my 1st semester:
Cal 4, Introduction to engineering, introductory macroeconomics, ordinary differential equations, introduction to material science, introduction to static systems.
How do you guys think about my choice? I really need your advice.
Thanks.

You went from 4 courses to 6 and not call that an overload? Unless these six courses are easier classes than your four original ones, I'd rethink taking that many classes your first semester of your first year of college...
