Question about graduate school possibilities and GPA

Hello all:

I'm currently a rising sophomore at the College of William and Mary, who just received his final grades back. My cumulative GPA is currently a 3.53, but I'm trying desperately to get it up. I'm double majoring in both computer science and physics, and want to go to graduate school in either electrical or computer engineering. My first question is: does where you go to school matter at all? I've always been told W&M is tougher than most institutions, but does that even mean anything? Also, what kind of graduate schools could I even get into with, say, a 3.7-3.8? Would they be decent?

Thanks for your time.

You can get into a fine program with that kind of GPA if you have good research experience and GRE scores. Focus on getting the research experience and you will be OK.
