Is it all engineering oriented? Because I've never been to UCLA and I want to take a campus tour. I RSVPed for that open house on April 4th but I'm not sure what to expect. If I want to see the UCLA campus environment and atmosphere should I schedule a separate campus tour?

If you look at the schedule of events, it’s mainly engineering stuff… But there are housing tours and I’m sure you can see other stuff while you are there since the event lasts until 4ish. You can go to a campus tour if you want though; it’ll be fun lol

So what exactly do you get to see during campus tours that you don’t see during the open house?

I’ve never been on a Engineering Open House campus tour, but they might take you around South Campus (where all the engineering classes are located) for a longer period of time than the regular campus tour would.

On a side note, a lot of speakers (students, professors, counselors) will give you an insiders perspective on the Engineering Program at UCLA. I was a speaker last year but won’t have time for this year’s open house. I wonder if Carey Nachenberg is speaking again…
