Question about how QuestBridge rounds work?

I’m having a bit of trouble understanding how exactly QuestBridge works. Do you first get accepted as a finalist, and then move on to being eligible for applying early decision to the colleges? Thanks.

You apply to be a finalist, if you are accepted as a finalist you rank up to 12 partner schools and complete certain application materials to be submitted to those partner schools to be considered for the early decision match program. If you are not matched you can still apply at those schools and any other schools through regular decision(and in some cases early decision too, I was not matched and was able to have Penn move my application to the early decision pool.)

@Blueoncemoon thank you so much!

True as described above, but No - as to your actual question. In reality, the dates and process are actually a little different. You have to apply by Sept 27th for QuestBridge in order to become a Finalist on Oct 20th. But to try and Match with 1-12 QuestBridge Partner colleges, you will need to submit a separate National College Match Rankings Form (signed) between Sept 28th and Oct 13th. So, technically, you have to agree to the Match process before you will even know if you are a Finalist.

Hope that helps…

@WWWard thank you!

You’re welcome. Good luck…
