I had recently applied to Loomis Chaffee a couple weeks ago and was supposed to get the acceptance/rejection letter on the 9th of March. I looked into my email to try to retrieve the letter and it said that I didnt finish some parts of the application, and they werent sure if I had lost interest in the school. Does this mean that Loomis is considering accepting me? Because if they were going to reject me they would have just said it in the letter and not have to send a second letter saying that I have to finish up the application. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, I think you are out of luck. If your application was not complete, the school did not consider you for admission.

There are many hundreds (if not thousands) of applicants to Loomis Chaffee who are diligent about getting everything completed to the best of their ability and meeting all the stated deadlines. These are skills that are essential for success at top schools like LC. If you did not get everything turned in on time, and are only now checking your email from Loomis, then I don’t think you would be a good candidate for this school.

If attending a school like LC is important to you, learn from this lesson, reapply next year, and change your approach.
