I’m interested in becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. Would someone receive more money in receiving these two masters degrees?
There are a variety of certifications and masters degrees available for nurses. Many health care organizations will help to pay for part-time classes towards that end, and will provide a salary bump or increased job opportunities for recipients.
A Nurse Practitioner is the highest of these degrees, but requires the most work, requires the most experience before entering the program, and has the most difficult admissions. At many colleges, a Nurse Practitioner now requires a PhD.
