Question about Math II test in Real SAT subject tests

I took this test and got an 800 but I have questions about a few of the problems.

Number 37 page 180
Number 41 page 181
Number 44 page 182

Can someone please give the explanations for the correct answers to these problems?

sorry cant help you on those but can you help me on number 36 on page 180? thanks

Number 36 is just a probability problem that asks what's the probability of 4 events happening. It's just .2^4 or .0016 since all the events are independent. That is, if one thermometer fails, it has no effect on another's failing.

thanks! 10 characters

41. Line l can be parallel to only one plane out of n.

A cone vertical cross-section through its apex is a triangle.
A parallel cross section "cuts out" a similar triangle.
"H" is a hight of the large triangle.
There are different ways to continue.

H/? = 6/?

Or drop a couple of perpendiculars to the base:
H/? = 8/?
