Question about my app

Hi!

I recently submitted my Chicago app (Common + Supplement) via snail mail. I just realized that Chicago wanted 1-2 pages for their long essay. However, I double spaced the essay and it was about 2.5 pages long ... do you think I'll be OK?

(Yes I know this sounds like a trivial question)

Also, how long do you think it'll take for Chicago to process everything once they recieve my app? (my recs and test scores went out 2 weeks ago)

Thanks alot!

I'm not certain, but I think their preference of 1-2 pages assumes a single-spaced essay, so you should be fine. Either way, as long as your essay is captivating start to end you shouldn't have a problem!

Daggerman ...

I thought that making it double spaced would make the job easier for admission officers, but I guess I should read directions more carefully ...

Thanks for your reassurance!

Actually we had trouble finding anywhere whether they wanted single or double spaced essays. D doublespaced hers; and her long essay was exactly two pages.

S's long essay was two pages, single spaced. Don't panic! Just don't torture them with endless essays.
