I was only accepted into the Spring 2012 Semester as a Freshman (along with 900 others lol). So all of my friends are starting now while I have to wait until beginning on January when Spring Semester starts. I am not doing CC or USF courses while I wait. I am getting a job which I am starting next week.

I will be a Computer Science Major. Ok, here's my question. All my of my friends who are doing an Engineering-like major right now are taking Chemistry right now @ UF. And I'm guessing the other Courses on the recommended tracking sheet for their major. (Obviously guessing on that).

When I come in the Spring, if I do Physics (PHY 2048) first instead of Chemistry, will I have more trouble/ a harder time with it? It says it has some Calc 1 in it. I only took up to Pre-Calc in high school so I would be taking Calculus 1 during the Spring Semester at the same time. And I just wanted at least one of my classes to match some of my friends while I'm behind a Semester.

Is this a viable option or should I should do the usual course load a Computer Science Major does their first semester based on the Tracking Sheet (Analytical Geometry & Calc 1, General Chemistry + Lab, Programming for CIS Major 1, Humanities or Social/Behavioral Science).

Thanks.
