Say I'm applying using the online app. In section 2, there is a section for recommendations. If I chose to have my counselor and teacher both do online recommendations, do I have to still print out anything from part 5 (Supplemental Forms)? If I do the online recommendations from this section 2, is there anything I would need to send by mail, other than the transcript and high school profile?

BTW, I'm a California resident, if that means anything.

As long as they register online and send their recommendations via the internet, the only forms your counselor will send in is your transcripts. When they register to submit their recommendations I believe it tells them how to do everything and what to send in.

thankss for the reply. So, if i have them both recommend online, all I have to worry about is filling out and sending my own application, remind counselor to send transcript, then sending SAT scores right?

(semi)-related: what if they're registered online, but they've sent it in by paper? ... Do I delete them? I wanted to, but the UMich recommender registration area discouraged that by saying do not delete if they have written a recommendation for you. Or something like that. I'm not sure, it's quite ambiguous, and it seems to say "Do not delete if they already completed their online recommendation."

hopeful- Yes that is exactly what I did. Just make sure they receive the email after you register them online, and then make sure they send everything out.

zoogies- Do not worry about deleting them if you are having them sent in by paper. Even if you do receive an email saying that they have not sent in their apps online, just remember that you had them send in by paper, and if you are still worried, it is easy to call the admissions office and they will answer any of your questions if it comes down to that.
