Question about requests for internal/unofficial grades?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone got an email like this? If so, what did you choose to do?

“Dear (my counselor’s name), greetings from Princeton University! I hope this message finds you well! […] I would like to request internal grades for your student (my name). It is my understanding that you must receive permission from students in order to send internal scores to our attention. If she decides not to release this information that is fine; I will make sure that committee understands that generally only officially [the officer made a typo here, lol] scores are submitted. In any case, please let me know and I will proceed in either case.”

Could anyone advise me? This was sent six days ago, and I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. It might have been because I skipped a year of high school? (I’m 16 and a senior at the moment.) It might also have been because my SAT scores sent super late. I don’t know, guys - help me out?

I think it is a good sign that indicates they are interested to know more about you. as you said, it might be due to you skip one year of high school. How about your two years high school grades?

I agree with the above poster that because you skipped a year, Princeton probably wants to see more grades from you. Princeton wants to see senior grades for everyone (if possible), but it would be even more important for someone who has skipped a year of high school. I hope that you consented to release the grades!
