I am thinking about applying to RSI for the summer 2006, but I have a question. I just looked at its application it asks for my skill level in computer science. I have NO skill whatsoever in computer science because I have never learned it before :S. I have regional/provincial/national awards in math/science (not really big ones tho) and a lot of school awards and really good school grades, but it is true that I don't have an extensive knowledge about science beyond the level being taught at school.

Will I be rejected 99.9% because of the lack of skill in computer science?

well I emailed them and they said it hasn't been decided,,,but the thing is, I will probably be considered as South Korean since I only have South Korean citizenship. I am just studying in Canada as a foreign student. I was just asking assuming that my country will be participating. I feel like I will 99.999% be rejected anyway because I don't have much background knowledge that other participants probably have... for RSI, they don't really care as much about how well one does in school as they do about someone's outstanding skill in one area (be it math, computer science, etc.), right? :(
