Just send in your app when you think it is ready. With rolling admissions there really is no difference when you submit it, so do not rush to get them done ASAP if that would affect the quality of your application. It might be a good idea to send the SAT scores now though, as they can take a while to get through to the colleges.

If you are looking for financial aid or merit-based scholarships, the sooner you get the applications in the better. Often rolling-admissions schools have cut-offs for scholarships that are much earlier than the cut-offs for admission.

Rolling admissions means they make decisions as “completed” applications are received and by complete that means getting in everything that is necessary including test scores. They will not look at the file to consider admission until it is completed. Those who get their file completed earlier rather than later have an advantage. Those who wait until the end face risk of not getting program wanted because it may already be filled, so best to send those scores now.

IF you are a borderline applicant, then it does matter when you apply to a rolling admissions school. Earlier in the application season, schools with rolling admissions often accept students with borderline stats. However, as it gets closer to the deadline, the school often HAS to tighten its acceptance standards.

Either way…send app, scores, and transcripts now. Why risk getting distracted and forgetting later?
