Question about SAT II Score Vs. Percentile...

Hi

i took sat iis on june 4th, and i just got my scores back

math 1c 730 93%
physics 720 70%
us hist. 560 33%

my question is : do colleges look at the scores of the SAT IIs or the percentiles of the SAT IIs....?

i think i did pretty well oh math and physics, but then in terms of percentile....it's not so great....

Generally speaking, those who take SATII's are students who score in the top 50% on standardized tests, and who are aiming for somewhat selective colleges. Therefore, percentiles are very innaccurate, because you're not being compared to all students but only a small, selective portion. My SAT II's had crazy percentiles too:

Math II-c: 780 84%
Bio- M: 780 95%'
USH: 740 87%

But then I found out that so many people get 800's on these tests that an 800 isn't even the 99th percentile. So with that in mind, you really don't need to worry about the percentile as much as you need to worry about obtaining a high score.
