Question about scholarship deadline?

Regarding the full ride Penelope W. and E. Roe Stamps IV Leadership Scholarship, is it too late for a chance at this scholarship if I have not applied for admission yet? The deadline for the scholarship is January 15th btw. I'm thinking it is too late, but I was hoping that I could somehow be wrong. I know it is very late, please don't hate. Haha.

I would not want to give you the wrong information. Please call the financial aid office for clarification. They are happy to help!

That scholarship along with applications for the Honors College, Croft, etc. had a deadline of January 15th. March 1st is the final scholarship deadline for all other university scholarships. Hope you were able to submit your application by the deadline!

collegeguider,
Can you point me to where you found the info stating “March 1st is the final scholarship deadline…”? You also may be able to answer these questions:
-Is this the deadline for Academic Excellence (3.0+ GPA, scaled ACT)?
-If I apply in July when applications for Fresh Class of 2016 open, but my GPA is only 2.9 at the time, can I submit a later GPA?
-If I can, when is the latest I can submit?

Hello! All information regarding deadlines can be found on the Ole Miss Financial Aid website (finaid.olemiss.edu). The dates for upcoming classes will be different than the incoming class for Fall 2014. For future classes, the scholarship application deadlines for our most competitive scholarships and programs (Honors College, Croft, Lott, CME etc.) will be January 5th with a final scholarship deadline of February 15th.

There is not a set deadline for the Academic Excellence scholarship. We will accept test scores through the spring semester. I would also imagine that Financial Aid would accept the GPA through then as well. I know that a student who pulls their GPA up to the 3.0 level after first semester senior year can qualify. So, yes, you can submit an updated transcript. Work hard to get that GPA up so you can qualify as well as your test scores for maximum scholarship consideration!
