I took another ACT at the beginning of this month but now I just looked that for the UCs the deadline for the ACT scores is December 31st and now I am getting worried that even if I send my score now they won't even get the old one.

If you didn’t list UC as one of the four (or five?) colleges on your ACT registration form (to send a free score report to), then just send the score out via online payment at actstudent.org. Your priority is to send the necessary scores as soon as possible, assuming this college requires all scores to be sent.

Call the college on Monday morning to confirm that it is acceptable for the scores to arrive slightly after the deadline, and inform them that you paid for an ACT score report. The college will give you the most accurate, direct information.

I had the same problem when applying to Columbia, but in general, colleges don’t make a fuss over ACT/SAT scores arriving late (by a few days) if the rest of your application is set and complete.
