I take my first SAT on Saturday. I have my free 4 score sends available still. My problem is that I plan on taking the ACT and doing better on that, but I still might retake the SAT later. If I don't send my 4 free scores, would I be able to still send 4 scores for free when I took the SAT a second time?

The four free sends expire unless you designate colleges by a date set which is before test scores are released. However, each test has its own set of free sends and the College Board default position is to send the existing test scores and all prior test scores it has for you when you request a send of any test. Thus, for example, if you take December test and do not use four free sends, and later take March test and use that test’s four free sends, when the March score comes out both your March score and December score will be sent to the colleges designated in your March test.
