Question About Senior Grades

Lets say i apply to a school after 1st quarter grades come out of my senior year sending my transcript after i get those. Will colleges see those grades on my transcript and will they factor in my AP classes?

My daughter applied ED last year. Her first mid semester grades were sent to the ED school. For her RDs, her first semester grades were sent. Her 2nd mid semester grades were sent to her waitlisted schools. Yes, your AP classes will be factored in. If you slack off and take easier classes senior years, adcom will also factor that in.

as for the commonapp when will the schools contact you via email or whatever to tell you when/if they need the forms from the counselors that say midyear and end of year?

thanks

ahhh i am so confused i have another question. So if i send my transcript in after first quarter will letter grades show up on my transcript? I am taking 5 AP classes this year (senior year) so for the schools that weight that would be huge, would they use those classes, count them etc? I dont get it!? lol

bump(10char)

some colleges do some dont, for my school if i send my transcript after 1st quarter, my grades will be by my senior schedule but they wont be counted into my total gpa. I emailed UF and they said they dont look at senior grades, but im still waiting till 1st quarter so if they look they will see that i am doing good.

Canes12 - ask your GC how your GPA is calculated? However they do it, they will put the most recent GPA in your transcript. Your transcript should include the 1st quarter grades even if it's not factored into your GPA. College will not contact you for the transcript. You should work with your GC to make sure all additional information is sent on time.
