question about specific med school course and AMCAS designation

I'm contemplating taking a course winter quarter and am wondering if it would count towards BCPM. Peers/Classmates are saying they don't think it does, seems to me it falls under Bio(Physiology), opinions?

It's dual listed as Humbio & MED (ie med school course) - Gender Differences in Physiology & Disease

Chromosomal and hormonal influences on cells, tissues, and organs that underlie the development of reproductive organs and sexual dimorphism of the neuroendocrine system. Effects of endogenous and exogenous sex hormones and environmental factors that differ between men and women on the musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and immunological systems over the lifecourse, from conception to puberty, through reproductive phases (including changes during the menstrual cycle up to and beyond menopause in women and with aging in men). Transgender health issues.

sure looks like it falls under the B in BCPM to me.

What does your school’s pre-med advisor say?

What is your major? If I am not mistaken, HUMBIO courses are treated as BIO on your transcript but it is best to check with premed counselor to make sure since HUMBIO offers both social studies as well as biology under the same umbrella.

I have read the description in explorecourses and I have no doubt it should count as Bio.

Btw, how were your grades at the end of quarter?

@texaspg - undeclared for now…registered for the above under the Med designation as the HumBio slots are full w/a waitlist. 20 units fall quarter 3.82…got a bit too ambitious, will be scaling things back this quarter to a normal load - MCAT in early May

That’s a very good GPA for suicidal 20 credits. Congrats.

Are you applying for 2015 school year for MD?
