I have a letter of rec from a judge i interned under this summer and i was wondering how that would be considered in the admissions process in relation to letters from teachers and counselors.

If you worked directly with the judge and he/she can write a strong letter from personal experience, then I would definitely submit it. Generally more than 1 extra letter beyond the standard requested teacher and counselor letters isn’t a good idea, but ONE strong letter based on personal interaction with you is fine. It won’t hurt, and might help.

How it is considered in relation…wha? What does that matter? The main letters they want are from teachers and GC. That is the most important, They don’t need any other ones. Otherwise they would ask everyone for a supplemental rec. So, it is subordinate ‘in relation’. Listen to the post above.

It would be from an advisor/mentor, I would figure.
