A teacher I’m fairly close to has written me a recommendation, and it may include a description of how I sort of “came out of my shell” in her class–how I started to really enjoy group activities and the such.
My question(s): this is good, right? Could this hurt my application in any way? (I mean I guess it will imply that I was–at some point–somewhat shy. But I think the fact that I overcame that is much more positive?)
I think it’s good she’s showing how you evolved and changed and how you are now. I don’t think it will it shows that you’re a good student who can change and become better and has room for growth. It does show you were shy but it also shows how you aren’t anymore and how you’ve become more social and extroverted, an aspect colleges like in people.
