question about the Common Application.

Hello
I am applying to the University of Rochester as a freshman.
the admission office said that they can't schedule an interview with me until I submit the university application and the Common application.
anyway,I have sent the regular college application and now I am trying to send the common application.

Common Application :

Common Application: Ready

Member Questions: Ready

Assign Recommenders: Incomplete

Writing Supplement: Incomplete

the Common application status is (Pending) ,what does this mean?? did the university receive the common application or not yet??

Did you pay and sign the CommonApp?

pay!! isn’t the common application free?

Application fees vary from school to school. Some are free and some aren’t. There are fee waivers available under some circumstances.

U. Rochester has an application fee (unless they sent you a fee waiver code), but you might be eligible for a fee waiver if paying the fee is a financial hardship. Ask your guidance counselor.

It seems you just filled the application but did not submit it.

is the writing supplement required?? this essay is 250 words MAX.
I have written the main common application essay which is between 250-650 words.

I am waiting to hear back from you guys …

Yes, the writing supplement is required. You have to write a short essay (no more than 250 words) based on the prompt:

Once you have everything completed, from your dashboard click on Preview and Common App submission to start the process of submitting the common app.

Make sure you submit the app, pay for it, sign your application, and submit your supplement. Your submission is not complete without all these steps. Also, make sure you receive the confirmation e-mail and go back to the dash board to see if all submitted PDF are okay.
