Hey guys!

I go to one of the most prestigious Catholic schools in the Northeast, and as such we have a glut of kids applying to the top universities around here (the Ivies, NYU, GTown, etc). Our guidance counselor has been drilling it into us that we can get into better schools if we take a glance around the nation, seeing as how kids from our school often overlook really good colleges to focus on elusive admission to top Northeastern colleges.

I'm one of those kids who is doing pretty well academically and very well on standardized tests that come out of my school so often. I'm interested in Economics. Vanderbilt sounds like a really cool school to go to, but I'm unsure as to the quality of the economics program. I plan to go into law school after college, as well. I'd really like unbiased opinions about the economics program, because if it's a good one, Vandy would seem to be an excellent fit for me.

Thanks in advance!
