Alright, I've taken the ACT 4 times now. In June, I got a 30 on the ACT with an 8 on the writing. The previous two times I took it (Feb/April), I also received an 8 on the writing.

2/3 of those times I wrote nearly 2 pages, and one of the times I wrote onto the 3rd page. Each one consisted of 5 paragraphs.

This time, once again, I nearly wrote 2 pages. However, I only wrote 4 paragraphs, but unlike the other times, this time I analyzed both sides of the argument.

The first paragraph was an introduction/lead-in to my second paragraph which was saying why punishment was necessary for tardiness. The third paragraph was saying how a reward system can be good.

The 4th paragraph/conclusion described how there should be a "happy medium" where students that are consistently late should be punished, and students that are consistently on time should be rewarded.

Overall, I thought it was well written...just as I thought my prior 3 essays were. However, like I previously stated, this time I analyzed both sides of the argument whereas the other times I didn't.

Is this a recipe for success?

Should I receive a higher score (looking for a 9+) for doing this?
