I am applying to Oxford from a US university and have a question about UCAS application to Oxford
- in the qualification "other" section, am I expected to write which specific courses I am taking in college?
- also I see that in the qualification section it says: Please state the highest level of qualification you expect to have before you start your course*
For this, do I select "honour degree level or above qualifications"
if I got all the results that I stated (except the university degree because I will be in my second year)?
@PurpleTitan already answered #2 in your other thread: no, you don’t select ‘honour degree level and above qualifications’ b/c you don’t & won’t have an UG degree when you apply. Your highest level is secondary school.
For #1, no: that space is for qualifications- certificates, diplomas, etc.
Oxford is going to care about your standardized test scores, your admissions test (if your subject has one), your college GPA, your LoR and your PS. They are not going to sweat the details of your UCAS app.
Yes @collegemom3717 But how would they know my college gpa if I don’t place them in the qualification section?
So I’m putting them down because it is an important component of my app (while I may not write specific courses I’m taking in college)
Fair enough. As @PurpleTitan pointed out, you recommender should reference your GPA and your relevant coursework.
