Hi, if I get into UCR as an Undeclared major. When is the earliest possible time I could declare a major? Thanks!

It depends on the college in which you’re undeclared. For CHASS, you must complete specific coursework (depending on the major you want to declare).

More info:
[UCR CHASS Student Academic Affairs | Undeclared](http://chassstudentaffairs.ucr.edu/undeclared/major_declaration/criteria.html)

Look at the left hand side of the above page; also check out chassstudentaffairs.ucr.edu in general too.

If you’re undeclared in CNAS or BCOE, it can get complicated because majors in those colleges usually have lots of prerequisites. I suggest you go to their academic advising offices (also go to the one for CHASS for any questions, if it applies to you).

Okay, thanks shesasensation!
