question about undergrad transfers/chances at east coast schools?

Hi, I just graduated from University of British Columbia with a B.A. in English and I will be taking the LSATs in June and applying to law school next fall. I had transferred in to UBC from a state university in New Jersey (actually 2 different state schools...I did 1 semester at Fairleigh Dickinson U before transferring to William Paterson U for 3 semesters because of financial reasons) and after calculating my combined GPA from all the schools I have attended, I figure I finished with about a 3.484 GPA overall. Also I'm not sure if it matters but my major GPA is significantly higher, my GPA was pulled down mostly due to a few electives including film and spanish classes. I plan to take a 2 month LSAT prep course and I believe I will manage to score between 158-160 on the test.

My questions are A-Whether or not the fact that I transferred schools twice will negatively effect my law school chances?

and B- Which schools in the New York/New Jersey & Washington D.C. areas will I have a decent chance at with a 3.484 GPA and an LSAT of between 158-160?

Thanks in advance!

anyone????

It shouldn't really hurt too bad, unless your GPA was brought down because of it. All undergrad work should count for your LSDAS GPA. Having a higher major gpa doesn't really matter, because most people have it.

Brooklyn is a good choice for you. New York Law school is a safety if your LSAT winds up on the low end, and Cardozo/Yeshiva is good if you can get 162+.

other schools im considering include Fordham (as a reach), Seton Hall, American, Rutgers, and Pace. Am I on track in terms of realistic possibilities?

Also since I won't be applying until fall/winter of next year, is there anything I should be doing in the mean time to boost my chances?
