Question about Undergraduate coursework affecting MBA admissions/Internships

So, I'm currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and I have a few questions.

(1) I was wondering whether or not a double major would have any affect on MBA school admissions or internship opportunities? For example, would you have a better chance of getting into a top b-school if you had a high GPA and high GMAT score and is majoring in two majors compared to having a high GPA and high GMAT but in only one major?

(2) Would a double major look better than a major with two minors when applying to b-schools / internships? My GEs for my college pretty much suck and by adding 4 more classes, I could have a major and two minors. Pursuing two majors and two minors seems insane, so I doubt I will be doing that.

(3) Does honors in your major really do anything for your b-school admissions / internship opportunities? I don't want to do extra classes if it really does not affect anything.

Hopefully, someone can help me answer these questions before I begin signing up for classes.

MBA admissions is about 3 things, IMO; GMAT, academic success and industry success. A shortcoming in one can be made up by enough success in the other two. If you have a high GPA and GMAT score this can offset lack or poor success in industry. If you have a good employment record (post-graduation) and a good GMAT score, this can offset a low GPA. Etc...

From what I've seen and heard, your undergrad degree doesn't amount to a whole hill of beans as far as MBA admissions is concerned. Additionally, I think minors are a big waste of time and the only add to the confussion of an admissions officer's understanding of what you are doing with your life. Be purposeful in all that you do.

So, to answer your questions (and these are all merely opinion)

I don't think it will matter. High GPA and high GMAT are most important. The only time I think major comes into play is when these scores are lower than normal. If you majored in something that is relatively tough than a little leeway may be given. I don't think having two majors will help you much, as far as admissions goes. However, it may help you careerwise. Remember, not everyone is going for an MBA is on the same career path.

Do whatever will interest you most and give you the best gpa.

Honorors may help you get a better internship and will standout on your transcripts when applying for an MBA. Will this be make or break for you getting in? Depends on the rest of your application.

Just work hard now. Get good grades, take what you can as far as classes so that you get good grades. Get a good job, work for a couple years showing that you have what it takes to be leader in your field and not just a task monkey, and you'll do fine.
