<p>yes to the first question and not really to the second; I don't think chicago overtly gives brownie points for visiting because, if I remember how someone on the adcom put it last year, it's not really fair to the people who don't have the opportunity to go for financial or whatever other reasons. but they will remember that you came.</p>
