<p>Today I found out I got waitlisted from UC Davis. So does this mean I’m am put on a waitlist for both my primary and secondary major, or, what? :/</p>
<p>Okay, so I received an email stating that I am waitlisted. On the bottom is says “College of Engineering: Electrical Engineering” (being my primary major.) But what about my secondary major? Is this implying I am placed on the waitlist for my secondary major as well or is there a separate decision and email for that?</p>
<p>From what I’ve seen/heard, your secondary major isn’t taken into consideration for admission (not enough space/too much competition). Whatever decision you get for your primary major is the decision you receive overall for the campus. Only Merced considers your alternate major at this point, I believe.</p>
<p>Not true. If you don’t get into your first major and you have a less impacted major as one of your alternatives, then you will be considered for that one separately. I.E. if you didn’t get into mechanical engineering as your primary but your secondary was English, you would have a better chance of getting into English.
However, with your waitlist situation, I doubt that your secondary major was considered.</p>
