<p>I have a quick question. What does being a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist who selected Northwestern means to the admission process? Does Northwestern typical accept most of the semifinalists?</p>
<p>Although it's a great accomplishment and you should be very proud, from what I've seen, it has very little bearing unless your grades, test scores and ec's are also high.</p>
