Question Concerning Reading Passage Layout

I have recently begun practicing the reading section using the tests provided in the 2016-2017 red book. With the layout of the first two tests, the passage starts and ends on the left page and the questions are either all or mostly on the right. This eliminates the need to constantly flip back to the previous two pages because all pertinent information is right in front of you. However, the third test’s layout is the opposite, with the passages beginning on the right side. I fear that the repetitive flipping and checking will increase the time it takes for me to finish all of the question sets, effectively jeopardizing my performance.

Does anyone know if the actual tests’ reading passages begin on the left or right pages? Is it completely unpredictable? I’m nervous that I’ll forget the information more easily amidst the page turning and get a lower score than I would if the pages were oriented the “easier” way.

The real test is laid out like the first two tests of that book.

The 3rd test of that book is an error. The publisher was probably in a rush to go to print that it didn’t correct the layout of the Reading of that test.

@mmk2015 Yes! Excellent, that’s such a relief. Thanks :slight_smile:
