Question concerning the Secondary School Report for those taking a gap year

Well, I basically decided to take a gap year so I decided to apply to colleges this year, but I have not encountered any problems so far with the exceptions of the Secondary School Report and the Mid-year report. The thing here is that I already graduated from high school, and the counselor who used to know me very well is no longer there. So I do not know how to turn in these forms, especially the Mid-year report one. I would really be thankful if anybody can guide me through (:

Also, if you can also spare your time into answering this other question: Which grade looks better on the application, a 97.1 (from a scale of 100) UW or a 101.05 W (I think that it would be from a 110 scale since you add 10 points to the 100 max. for every AP class)

Hello! I’m a gap year student too, so I think I can help. It would be just sufficient if you contacted your previous counselor (phone? email? it’s your call) and asked him/her to fill out only the Final School Report form. The adcoms would see your transcript and know that you’re on a gap year, so they’d understand.

Also, I think you should send your UW GPA. Quite frankly, every school calculates weighted grades differently, so the adcoms are more likely to pay attention to your unweighted grades more.

Thank you very much, that really helps a lot :)
