<p>A very large number of out of state kids are from the New York metro area.</p>

<p>I'm a current student from Massachusetts... and there are a good amount of people from out-of-state, but not a whole lot from the Northeast. You get used to it pretty fast though, and you'll end up meeting a good number of people from your home state in the end.</p>
<p>OK. What about people from the west. I am from SF and should be liberal enough to be a substitute for new englanders.</p>
